Application workshop
Today during tutorial we will have an application workshop with Cañada College.  Any senior considering Cañada next year or students of other grade levels who may be interested in concurrent enrollment are invited.

Yearbook Prices Going Up
Yearbook prices are going up on Saturday, April 1. Buy before Spring Break to save money and reserve your book. We expect to sell out. Use the button on the school website to order and pay by credit card.

Spontaneous Broadway- A Musical Imrov Show!
Come see Spontaneous Broadway:  A Musical Improv Show with song and dance on Friday, March 31st at 7pm in the Flex. Tickets are $5. Don’t miss the fun!

The Black Parents Association is excited to honor students at our 32nd Annual Baccalaureate Student Recognition and Scholarship Ceremony. The Congressional Art Competition For High School Students!
The Winner receives free airfare to Washington D.C, for a reception with members of Congress and will have his/her artwork put on display in the US Capitol Building! The Top Two runners-up will have their artwork displayed in Congresswoman Speier’s district office. All work submitted for the contest will be judged by professional artists from the 14th District! Requirements:

  • The artist must be a high school student living within the 14th Congressional District; 7th & 8th graders sharing a high school campus are also welcome to compete.
  •  Art must be two dimensional, no larger than 26 inches wide by 26 inches tall by 4 inches thick when framed, and not weigh more than 15 pounds. It also must be original in concept, design, and execution (it must not violate any U.S. copyright laws). Contestants are limited to one submission.
  •  The winner will be required to frame his or her artwork for display in Washington, DC. Art entries must be delivered to Congresswoman Jackie Speier’s district office by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2017. www.house.gov/content/educate/art_competition/ as well as well as http://speier.house.gov under the “constituent services” tab.
