Testing for New Freshmen Class of 2016-2017

In the next few weeks, eighth grade students who plan to attend school in the SMUHSD will be meeting with guidance staff to choose classes for their ninth grade year at Aragon, Burlingame, Capuchino, Hillsdale, Mills or San Mateo high schools. The SMUHSD has adopted the Scholastic Reading Inventory (SRI) and the Scholastic Math Inventory (SMI) as placement tests. Guidance staff will use these results along with transcripts and results from the 7th grade California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) to help advise parents and students regarding course choices. All incoming eighth-graders must be tested. Learn the details
